A collaborative, independent agency is looking for a proactive and hands-on Finance Manager to join them,
This is a key role for the business acting as the finance specialist within the business. You will have sole ownership of day-to-day financial operations while partnering with the wider business and supporting to influence commercial strategy.
There is great potential for growth in this role for an ambitious finance professional ready to make a career step, working alongside a senior finance consultant.
Key Responsibilities
*Financial Operations: Manage end-to-end accounting processes, including cashflow management, bank reconciliations, accounts receivable/payable, and month-end/year-end procedures.
*Commercial Partnership: Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Support the senior team with performance analysis and strategic commercial insights.
*Project Financial Management: Partner with client services to monitor project profitability, track purchase orders, forecast income, and support procurement needs.
*Process Improvement: Champion quality standards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Actively identify opportunities to streamline processes through automation and the implementation of new technology/software.
*Team Collaboration: Act as the go-to financial expert, training staff on financial processes and fostering positive relationships across the business.
Skills and Experience
*Experience within an independent agency environment.
*You are likely an Assistant Finance Manager ready to step up or an experienced Finance Manager looking for a new challenge.
*Strong Excel skills are essential.
*Experience with ERP systems or project-based accounting software is highly preferred.
*Proactive and "hands-on" approach with the ability to take full ownership of your work.
*Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
*A keen interest in using technology and automation to drive business efficiencies and process improvement.
*Excellent organisational skills with a forensic eye for detail.
