Full job descriptionMitchell Adam are pleased to be working with an established business within the logistics sector, located in the south of Birmingham, to recruit a Management Accountant. The business has a strong track record within its market and offers a structured and supportive environment where finance plays an important role in maintaining accurate reporting and supporting day-to-day business performance.
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Management Accountant with solid experience across core management accounting. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who is comfortable taking responsibility for month-end reporting, working to deadlines and producing accurate financial information. You will also work closely with colleagues across the wider business, gaining a strong understanding of the operational side of the organisation.
Skills Needed*Newly qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA with strong and proven Management Accountant experience.
*Previous experience preparing monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.
*A stable employment history, demonstrating longevity and commitment within previous roles.
*Experience supporting systems implementations or improving finance processes.
What You Will Receive*Responsibility for key month-end activities, giving you genuine ownership across the management accounting function.
*Exposure to budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis, allowing you to further utilise your existing technical and commercial skills.
*Regular interaction with colleagues across finance and the wider business, providing insight into the organisation’s operational performance.
*Ongoing support and guidance from the Financial Controller, providing the opportunity to learn from an experienced finance professional.
