Full job descriptionAssociate Financial Planner
*Annual Salary: £45000 to £53000
*Location: London
*Job Type: Full-time
This is an excellent chance to join a team of Chartered Independent Financial Planners, recognised by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). As an Associate Financial Planner, you will support the delivery of high-quality financial planning and wealth management advice to high-net-worth individuals, trustees, charities, and corporate clients. This role is ideal for individuals with paraplanning experience looking to expand their responsibilities and progress towards an advisory position.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Collaborate with Chartered Financial Planners to manage complex and higher value client relationships.
*Conduct detailed research and technical analysis to support advice given by financial planners.
*Prepare cash flow forecasts and complex financial planning calculations.
*Write technically correct suitability reports in accordance with agreed recommendations and compliance requirements.
*Provide ongoing client servicing, including preparing for and attending annual review meetings.
*Support new client onboarding processes and manage client engagement documentation.
*Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, aiming to become their trusted adviser.
*Support business development activities, including attending prospect meetings and preparing presentations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Must hold a regulatory qualification at QCF Level 4, e.g., Diploma in Financial Planning.
*Commitment to achieving Chartered Financial Planner status.
*Experience in a paraplanning role with demonstrable technical knowledge of financial planning processes.
*Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and restrictions.
*Proven project management capabilities and IT literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office and relevant financial planning software.
*Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines.
*High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
*Strong verbal and written communication skills.
