We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our team on a temporary - permanent basis, part-time basis from. This role is ideal for a well-rounded accounting professional who is confident working across Credit Control, Sales Ledger, and Purchase Ledger functions.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Manage the Sales Ledger process, including raising invoices and allocating receipts.
*Process Purchase Ledger invoices and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
*Chase outstanding debts and manage Credit Control activities.
*Reconcile customer and supplier accounts.
*Handle account queries and resolve discrepancies.
*Maintain accurate financial records and support month-end activities as required.
*Liaise with internal departments and external customers/suppliers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant role.
*Strong working knowledge of Credit Control, Sales Ledger, and Purchase Ledger.
*Good attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
*Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Ideal Candidate:
The successful candidate will be reliable, organised, and capable of hitting the ground running. They will have a hands-on approach and be comfortable supporting a busy finance function on a part-time basis.
