Band 9 | NHS
Salary: £115,052 - £132,053 per annum
Location: Essex (3 days a week onsite)
We are supporting an NHS organisation seeking Band 9 Director of Corporate Governance. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will provide expert leadership across corporate governance, Board assurance, risk management, compliance, and information governance. Acting as a trusted adviser to the Chair, Chief Executive and Board, you will ensure the Trust maintains the highest standards of accountability, transparency, and effective decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead the Trust’s corporate governance framework and strategy.
*Provide expert advice on governance, compliance, and Board effectiveness.
*Oversee the Board Assurance Framework and governance systems.
*Lead the Corporate Governance and Executive Assistant functions.
*Act as the Trust’s senior lead for Information Governance, including Data Protection, Information Security and FOI.
*Provide strategic assurance and constructive challenge on governance and risk matters.
About You
You will have:
*Significant senior leadership experience within a large, complex organisation.
*Extensive experience advising Boards, Chairs, Chief Executives and Executive teams.
*Expertise in governance, assurance, risk management and regulatory compliance.
*Excellent influencing, communication and stakeholder management skills.
*A relevant professional qualification and Master’s degree (or equivalent experience).
