Full job description Unique opportunity to join a service group at a time of transformation working very closely with the Finance Team and reporting to the Head of Finance. You will be a talented analytics engineer with a minimum of 3 years experience and ready to take ownership of reporting, analytics and data management. This is initially a 6 month contract with a view to being extended. You will be responsible for:-
Responsibility of the Senior Power BI Engineer Role:-
* Design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and KPIs using Power BI.
* Build and manage data models within Microsoft Fabric.
*
* Develop and maintain Lakehouse and Data Lake solutions to support enterprise reporting and analytics.
* Create and optimise Dataflows for data ingestion, transformation, and preparation.
* Gather business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into technical reporting solutions.
* Work closely with Finance teams to understand financial reporting requirements and data structures.
* Analyse large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, opportunities, and business insights.
Requirements of the Senior Power BI Engineer Role:
* Advanced Power BI development experience
* Fabric Lakehouse and Fabric Dataflows
* Experience of creating dashboards
* Experience of integrating data from multiple systems
* Experience of working in finance teams and financial reporting
* Understanding budgeting, forecasting, KPI’s, cost and revenue analysis
* Strong analytical problem solver
* Strong communicator, team player
