Job Description:
Full job description HIAB Driver (Class 2)
| £23.00 Per Hour | No Weekends (Yes, Really)
Towcester | Starts 20th August | Initially 2 Weeks, Possibly Longer
Let’s cut through the usual recruitment waffle...
You’re not scrolling job adverts wondering about our "fast-paced dynamic environment."
You’re thinking:
How much am I getting paid?
What time do I start and finish?
How many drops am I doing?
Will I actually see my family at the weekend?
Is this going to be a nightmare job?
Fair questions.
Here’s The Reality...We’re looking for a Class 2 HIAB Driver to cover some holiday leave for a long-standing client in Towcester.
It’s starting on 20th August for at least 2 weeks, and if everyone gets on and the work is still there, it could continue beyond that.
What Your Day Will Look Like
Start at 07:30
Finish around 17:00
45-minute PAID break (not one of those mythical breaks people talk about but never actually get)
Monday to Friday
No weekends
No Sunday afternoon call asking if you can "just help out"
The Work
*Typically 2-3 runs a day
*Around 1-4 drops per loa
*Delivering to building sites, builders’ merchants and residential customers
*Operating the HIAB safely and professionally
In other words, we’re not expecting you to squeeze 47 drops into a day while battling three road closures, two diversions and a sat nav having a nervous breakdown.
This is sensible, organised work where you’re given time to do the job properly.
The Important Bit
£23.00 Per Hour There. We’ve said it. No hunting through the advert looking for the rate.
You’ll Need*Class 2 (Category C) Licence
*HIAB Qualification
*CPC Card
*Digital Tachograph Card
*HIAB experience
*A decent attitude and the ability to smile politely when someone says, "While you’re here..."
Why Drivers Like These Jobs
Good money
No weekends
Paid breaks
Sensible workload
Well-maintained vehicles
Supportive team
Potential for longer-term work
Low stress, high earning potential
Sound Like Your Kind Of Job?
If you’re an experienced HIAB Driver who turns up on time, takes pride in the job and enjoys having their weekends to themselves, we’d love to hear from you.
