Full job descriptionAbout the RoleWe are seeking compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to join our team within a residential care home setting.
You will play a vital role in supporting residents with their daily needs while promoting independence, dignity, choice and overall wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities*Assist residents with personal care, including washing, dressing and toileting
*Support residents with mobility and daily living activities
*Assist with meals and feeding where required
*Monitor and record residents’ health and wellbeing
*Provide emotional support and companionship
*Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment
*Follow individual care plans and support residents in line with their assessed needs
*Report any changes, concerns or risks to senior staff
*Adhere to safeguarding, health and safety, infection control and other relevant policies and procedures
*Maintain accurate and professional care records
RequirementsApplicants must have:
*Previous experience in a care or support role
*A caring, patient and respectful approach
*Good communication and teamwork skills
*Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends
*Basic literacy and numeracy skills
*Willingness to undertake ongoing training and development
*A valid DBS or willingness to complete the required DBS process
*Up-to-date All-in-One Mandatory Training, which must include the required practical elements
*Practical Manual Handling training
*Practical Basic Life Support training
