NJR Recruitment are delighted to be working with a well-established and growing Accountancy Practice who are looking to recruit an experienced Qualified Accountant to join their team.


This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys variety and wants to work closely with a diverse portfolio of clients. You will provide a broad range of accounts and financial support to businesses ranging from sole traders and owner-managed businesses through to larger organisations and charity groups.


The successful candidate will join a professional and friendly practice where client relationships are highly valued and there is plenty of variety in the role.


The Role
Working across a diverse client portfolio, your responsibilities will include:
*Preparing year-end accounts for a variety of clients
*Supporting sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
*Providing accounts and financial reporting support to charity clients
*Preparing management accounts where required
*Assisting with VAT returns and other statutory requirements
*Supporting clients with general accounting queries
*Liaising directly with clients and developing strong working relationships
*Reviewing financial information and identifying any issues or discrepancies
*Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
*Working closely with colleagues across the practice to deliver a high-quality service


About You
We’re looking for an experienced accountant who can confidently manage a varied portfolio of clients and enjoys working in a practice environment.
You will need:
*Level 4 accountancy qualification or above – essential
*Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience
*Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
*Strong technical accounting knowledge
*Experience preparing accounts for a range of businesses
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
*Strong communication skills and confidence dealing directly with clients
*The ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines
*A proactive and professional approach
