Harrogate | £12.71 per hour | Monday to Friday
We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established independent café in Harrogate, seeking a reliable and customer-focused individual to join their friendly team.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a busy hospitality environment that prides itself on excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for both regular and new customers. There is genuine potential for additional responsibilities and future progression for the right candidate.
The Role
*Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 3:00pm
*Initially covering school holiday periods
*Additional hours may be available by mutual agreement
*£12.71 per hour
*Opportunity to progress into supervisory or management responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
*Preparing and serving high-quality hot and cold beverages
*Delivering excellent front-of-house customer service
*Operating the till and processing payments
*Providing table service when required
*Assisting with basic food preparation
*Maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming environment
*Supporting café events and activities
*Assisting with day-to-day operational management as the role develops
About You
*Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused
*Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
*Passionate about food, coffee, and hospitality
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Able to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues
*Flexible and adaptable to business needs
*Previous barista experience is highly desirable
*Previous café, catering, hospitality, or customer service experience would be advantageous
*Food Hygiene certification would be beneficial but is not essential
