Salary: £40,000 per annum (depending on experience), plus £5,000 car Allowance

About the RoleWe are seeking a proactive and dedicated Health & Safety Officer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced health and safety professional to play a key role in maintaining a safe, compliant, and positive working environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting a strong health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with current legislation, conducting audits and risk assessments, and supporting managers and employees with health and safety best practices.
Key Responsibilities*Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures.
*Conduct regular workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
*Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
*Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company standards.
*Deliver health and safety inductions and training to employees.
*Maintain accurate health and safety records and documentation.
*Liaise with regulatory bodies, contractors, and external stakeholders as required.
*Support managers in implementing safe working practices across all departments.
*Monitor and report on health and safety performance metrics.
*Promote a positive health and safety culture throughout the organisation.
RequirementsEssential*Previous experience in a Health & Safety Officer, Advisor, or similar position.
*NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent qualification).
*Strong understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation.
*Experience conducting risk assessments and incident investigations.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
*Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
*Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable*Membership of IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health).
*Experience within manufacturing, construction, logistics, facilities management, or a related sector.
*NEBOSH Diploma or higher-level Health & Safety qualification.
*Experience with ISO 45001 standards.
