Occupational Therapist - Join Our School-Based Team We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our specialist school in Liverpool on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people by supporting their development, independence, and access to education.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will assess, plan, and deliver therapeutic interventions tailored to the needs of pupils with a range of additional learning needs, including autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties, and other complex needs.
Key Responsibilities
*Assess and identify pupils’ occupational therapy needs.
*Develop and implement individualised therapy programmes.
*Provide direct and indirect therapy interventions.
*Support pupils in achieving greater independence and participation within the school environment.
*Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents/carers, and external professionals.
*Deliver training and guidance to school staff to support therapeutic outcomes.
*Maintain accurate records and reports in line with professional standards.
Requirements
*Degree in Occupational Therapy.
*HCPC registration.
*Experience working with children and young people is desirable.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
*Strong organisational and report-writing skills.
