The Security Day Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Security Operations Manger in ensuring the safety and security of buildings and people at the University. You will provide leadership to a dedicated flexible workforce of day team staff directing resources to where they are required within existing service levels in support of academic areas of campus. You will ensure compliance with relevant legislation, university policies and security Local Operating Procedures whilst also supporting the wider security team in maintaining public order on campus and liaising with the emergency services.
This role will be part of the University’s Emergency response team taking an operational role on security arrangements associated with the University’s incident handling plans and emergency planning procedures
Excellent customer service, high levels of initiative, attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task are essential elements of this role.
This is a campus- based post, required to work flexibly with some weekend work required.
