The Careers Widening Participation Team within the Careers and Employability Service at Lancaster University is looking to appoint a friendly and organised individual as our GROW Your Future Community Assistant to join the Student Engagement Team.
This is a wonderful opportunity to join our innovative and supportive team, working with our colleagues across Careers & Employability, and Student and Education Services. We are passionate about helping students and graduates develop their employability skills, achieve their ambitions, and fulfil their potential.
This role will play a key role with the GROW Your Future community here at Lancaster University, supporting students from Widening Participation backgrounds to achieve future success, and live happy and fulfilled lives.
This is a varied and interesting role, and duties will include supporting the GROW Your Future community, liaising with students, administering projects within the team such as the GYF Careers Bursary, and gathering and analysing impact and evaluation data.
You will have excellent written and verbal communication, data analysis, and organisational skills, and be motivated to develop the employability agenda in higher education.
We’re looking for someone who loves a spreadsheet, and is also friendly, organised, positive, and has the ability to successfully manage processes. You will also have a passion to continuously improve employability provision at Lancaster University, supporting students in their next steps.
This role may offer the opportunity to undertake an apprenticeship alongside this role, providing further opportunities for professional development and career progression.
