Full job descriptionReed Finance is working on behalf of a key client, a well-established and growing organisation seeking an experienced Finance Director to join their senior leadership team.
This is a newly created leadership opportunity, ideally suited to a commercially driven finance leader who can provide strategic direction while ensuring robust financial management across a multi-faceted business. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting long-term growth, enhancing financial performance, and providing insight that enables informed decision-making at board level.
This opportunity would suit a qualified finance professional with significant leadership experience who enjoys influencing strategy, leading teams, and delivering operational excellence.
The Role
Reporting into the executive leadership team, key responsibilities will include:
*Leading the overall finance function and providing strategic financial leadership across the organisation.
*Developing and implementing financial plans that support business objectives and sustainable growth.
*Producing accurate financial forecasts, budgets, and long-range planning models.
*Delivering meaningful management information and performance reporting to senior stakeholders.
*Ensuring strong financial controls, governance frameworks, and regulatory compliance.
*Managing cash flow, treasury, and working capital to maintain financial stability.
*Overseeing statutory accounts, audit processes, and tax compliance requirements.
*Providing commercial support around business cases, investments, pricing strategies, and growth initiatives.
*Identifying financial risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
*Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing finance team.
*Driving continuous improvement across financial systems, reporting processes, and operational efficiencies.
*Building strong relationships with board members, senior leaders, and external partners.
About You
To be considered for this opportunity, you will possess:
*ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
*Proven experience operating at Finance Director, Head of Finance, Financial Controller, or a similar senior leadership level.
*Strong technical accounting knowledge, including statutory reporting and audit management.
*Experience in financial planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
*Demonstrable commercial acumen with the ability to influence strategic decision-making.
*A track record of leading and developing finance teams.
*Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
*Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
*Experience delivering process improvements, finance transformation projects, or systems enhancements.
*The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational leadership.
