Hays are exclusively partnering with a well-established organisation operating across multiple sites and is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join its finance team during an exciting period of growth and expansion. This is a highly visible role, partnering with operational leaders to provide financial insight, improve budget accuracy and support key decision-making across the business. With responsibility for a growing contract portfolio and regular interaction with operational management, this role would suit someone who enjoys building relationships, challenging assumptions and influencing stakeholders outside of finance.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, responsibilities will include:
*Acting as a trusted finance business partner to operational management teams
*Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process across multiple sites
*Providing meaningful financial analysis and insights to support decision-making
*Challenging assumptions and improving budget accuracy
*Developing and enhancing financial reporting and KPI reporting
*Supporting annual budget planning and reforecasting activities
*Monitoring operational performance, including payroll, fleet and maintenance costs
*Reviewing cost trends and identifying opportunities for efficiencies
*Leading balance sheet reconciliations and key financial controls
*Investigating financial transactions and resolving discrepancies
*Driving process improvements across finance and operational functions
*Delivering financial training and support to non-finance stakeholders
*Building strong relationships with both internal teams and external customers

The role will involve visiting operational sites across Wiltshire approximately twice per month.
About You
*Previous experience in a Finance Business Partner, Management Accountant or Finance Manager role
*Strong budgeting, forecasting and management accounting experience
*Experience partnering closely with operational stakeholders
*Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills
*Strong communication skills with the confidence to challenge and influence
*Ability to explain financial information to non-finance colleagues
*A proactive and commercially minded approach
*Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

Qualifications
*QBE, Part-Qualified (ACCA/CIMA/AAT) or actively studying
*Public sector, outsourced services, transport, facilities management, logistics or operationally focused environments would be advantageous
