We are actively seeking a Management Accountant for a well established company in Manchester city centre.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a very successful business on a permanent basis.
The main duties include:
*Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
*Post and maintain prepayments and accruals.
*Process payroll journals and complete associated reconciliations.
*Prepare variance analysis with clear commentary for senior management.
*Produce Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports for senior stakeholders.
*Prepare and distribute flash reporting packs and key financial performance reports.
*Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations across all control accounts.
*Support the implementation of new finance systems and identify opportunities to improve financial processes.
*Assist with corporate tax analysis, year-end activities and audit preparation.
*Work closely with the wider Finance team and support ad hoc financial projects as required.
Our client is looking for a candidate who is ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or nearing completion) and has the following experience and skills:
*Previous experience preparing monthly management accounts
*Strong understanding of month-end processes, accruals and prepayments.
*Experience carrying out balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
*Ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
*Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience using finance systems.
*A desire to improve systems, processes and reporting
