Rate: £280 Per Shift

The Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to oversee a retail fit-out/refurbishment project at Pets at Home, Horsham. This is a short-term contract lasting approximately 2 weeks, requiring a hands-on manager who can ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site operations, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining health & safety standards, and acting as the main point of contact on site throughout the project.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage day-to-day site activities and subcontractor performance.
*Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with site procedures.
*Conduct site inductions and toolbox talks.
*Monitor project progress and maintain programme targets.
*Ensure quality standards are achieved and defects are addressed promptly.
*Complete and maintain all relevant site documentation.
*Liaise with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
*Manage deliveries, site logistics, and housekeeping.
*Ensure compliance with current Health & Safety legislation and company policies.




Requirements
Essential
*SMSTS Certificate
*Valid CSCS Card
*First Aid at Work Certificate
*Previous experience as a Site Manager on retail fit-out, refurbishment, or commercial projects
*Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
*Excellent communication and organisational skills
Desirable
*Experience managing live retail environments
*Fire Marshal qualification
*Asbestos Awareness certification
