Full job descriptionThe Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Management Accountant to join the finance team of a successful, growing business in Marlow.
Working directly with the CFO, you’ll play an important role in the day-to-day running of the finance function, taking ownership of monthly management accounts while providing accurate financial reporting and valuable commercial insight to support business decisions.
This is a varied, hands-on position that would suit someone who enjoys working in an entrepreneurial SME environment and wants genuine responsibility, autonomy and exposure to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities*Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting.
*Manage month-end journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.
*Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
*Monitor cash flow and prepare regular cash flow forecasts.
*Oversee purchase and sales ledger activities.
*Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
*Prepare and submit VAT returns.
*Support year-end accounts and liaise with external accountants and auditors.
*Assist the CFO with financial planning, reporting and analysis.
*Provide financial insight to support operational and commercial decision-making.
*Support project profitability reporting and cost analysis.
*Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, systems and internal controls.
*Assist with ad hoc finance projects as the business continues to grow.
About You
We’re looking for a proactive, commercially minded finance professional who enjoys being hands-on and working collaboratively within a growing business.
You’ll ideally have:
*ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified
*Previous experience in a Management Accountant position.
*Strong month-end accounting experience.
*Excellent Excel skills and confidence using accounting software.
*Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
*The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
*A positive, proactive approach and excellent communication skills.
