Full job descriptionWe’re looking for an experienced Insurance Recruiter to play a key role in the next stage of growth of Spinnaker’s Insurance practice.
This is aimed at someone with 10+ years’ insurance recruitment experience, an established network and a strong track record of business development and billing.
Marine insurance experience would be particularly attractive, but it isn’t essential. We’re equally interested in an established recruiter from the wider insurance market who can see the opportunity to bring their relationships and experience into maritime.
For the right person, this is much more than simply another senior billing role.
What we’re looking for*10+ years’ experience within Insurance recruitment
*An established client and candidate network
*A strong track record of sustained billing and new business development
*Someone comfortable originating their own work and developing senior client relationships
*Experience recruiting senior-level insurance professionals
*A consultative and relationship-led approach
*The ambition to take increasing ownership of a business area and potentially lead the Insurance practice in time
*Ideally someone based in Essex, East London or the surrounding area who may be looking for an alternative to commuting into central London
The opportunity

Insurance is one of Spinnaker’s growing business areas and we believe there is considerable scope to build it further.
You’ll work across insurers, brokers, P&I clubs, shipowners and other maritime organisations, recruiting internationally across underwriting, broking, claims, P&I, loss prevention, risk and senior insurance leadership.
You’ll have the freedom to bring and develop your existing relationships while also gaining access to Spinnaker’s established international maritime network.
As the practice grows, we’d like the successful person to take increasing responsibility for its direction — helping develop key accounts, identify new markets, mentor future consultants and ultimately potentially head the Insurance business area.
