Young Person Support WorkerDurham | £17-£20 per HourWe’re recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Young Person Support Worker to support children and young people with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) in the Durham area.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work on a 1:1 basis, helping young people achieve positive outcomes, build independence, and access enriching experiences in a safe and supportive environment.
The RoleYou will provide person-centred support tailored to the individual’s needs, helping them to develop confidence, independence, emotional resilience and life skills.
No two days are the same, and responsibilities may include:
*Supporting young people within the home and community.
*Promoting independence and daily living skills.
*Assisting with social activities and community engagement.
*Supporting emotional regulation and wellbeing.
*Implementing support plans and behaviour strategies.
*Building positive and trusting professional relationships.
*Working alongside families, schools and professionals.
*Recording observations and maintaining accurate records.
*Safeguarding and advocating for the young person’s needs.

Compliance RequirementsDue to the nature of the role, successful applicants will be required to complete:
*Enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce)

*Completion of mandatory company training
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle may be advantageous for some placements.
