The organisation has a strong reputation within its specialist industry and operates internationally, supplying products and solutions to customers across multiple global markets.

Working closely with the Finance Manager and wider business, the successful candidate will play an important role in supporting accurate financial reporting, financial controls and business decision-making.
The Role
As Management Accountant, you will be responsible for a broad range of financial accounting and management reporting activities, whilst also supporting the continuous improvement of finance processes.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Supporting the month-end close process, ensuring financial information is accurate and delivered within agreed deadlines.
*Preparing monthly management accounts, including profit and loss analysis and investigating financial variances.
*Completing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining accurate supporting schedules.
*Supporting the preparation of budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections.
*Assisting with year-end accounts preparation, statutory reporting and external audit requirements.
*Overseeing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
*Supporting standard costing and transfer pricing processes.
*Preparing and reviewing intercompany reconciliations.
*Producing financial reports and analysis to support the Finance Manager and wider management team.
*Providing financial insight to help support operational and commercial decision-making.
*Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting.
*Supporting ad hoc financial analysis and finance projects as required.
About You
We are looking for an experienced finance professional who is technically strong, commercially aware and enjoys working in a hands-on environment.
You will ideally have:
*ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualification, or be actively studying towards a recognised accounting qualification.
*Previous experience in a Management Accountant, Financial Accountant or similar role.
*Strong technical knowledge of double-entry accounting, reconciliations and VAT.
*Experience preparing management accounts and financial analysis.
*Strong Excel skills, including the ability to analyse and manipulate financial data.
*Experience working with an ERP or integrated accounting system.
*Experience with Epicor would be advantageous, although experience with other ERP systems will be considered.
*Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
*The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
*A proactive approach, with a genuine interest in process improvement and developing more efficient ways of working.
*Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with colleagues across different areas of the business.
*Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, production, FMCG or other product-based environment would be highly desirable.
Candidates with strong ERP experience from other commercially focused sectors will also be considered.
