A well-established, mission-led organisation in the heart of Leicester is looking for a numerate, detail-driven Finance Officer to join its close-knit finance team. This is a rare opportunity to bring your bookkeeping and reconciliation expertise into a role where the numbers genuinely support a wider purpose - funding vital community, pastoral and charitable work across the region.

Every ledger entry, reconciliation and payment run directly supports the people and communities this organisation exists to serve - from clergy and parishes to retired staff and local charitable trusts. What you’ll be doing
*Managing purchase and sales ledgers, including invoice processing, recharges and query resolution
*Overseeing bank reconciliations and month-end reporting
*Administering trust funds and charitable accounts, including liaison with external financial institutions
*Supporting payroll-related processes and HMRC gift aid claims
*Acting as a key point of contact for a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
What you’ll bring
*Solid bookkeeping and reconciliation experience gained within a broader finance function
*Strong double-entry accounting knowledge
*Confident Excel and wider MS Office skills
*A proactive, can-do attitude and the organisational ability to juggle varied responsibilities
