We are recruiting a reliable and organised Transport Clerks to join a busy and professional transport operation in Daventry. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and wants regular, ongoing work with the potential to become permanent for the right person.
PAY RATES
DAY SHIFTS
*Standard: £14.78 per hour
*Overtime: £22.17 per hour
AFTERNOON SHIFTS
*Standard: £15.52 per hour
*Overtime: £23.28 per hour
NIGHT SHIFTS
*Standard: £16.26 per hour
*Overtime: £24.39 per hour
Overtime paid after 40 hours!
Some weekend work required
Potential permanent position for the right candidate
THE ROLE
As a Transport Clerk, you will play an important part in keeping the transport operation running smoothly.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Driver pre-brief and debrief
*Completing transport paperwork and administration
*Updating transport systems accurately
*Communicating with drivers and the wider transport team
*Monitoring and maintaining accurate transport records
*Supporting the smooth running of the transport office
*General duties associated with a busy Transport Clerk position
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
*Previous experience as a Transport Clerk or within transport/logistics
*Strong communication and organisational skills
*Excellent attention to detail
*Confidence working in a busy transport environment
*Good IT and administration skills
*A flexible approach to working some weekends
