Full job descriptionTRAINING OFFICER | UK & IRELAND | £35-50K BASE | 25 DAY HOLIDAYS + BH
What’s the deal
We’re looking for an engaging Training Officer to design, coordinate & deliver certified technical training across products, machinery & jointing techniques. You’ll build capability among employees, customers & distribution partners through a blend of classroom, workshop & on-site learning, backed by robust assessment, certification & compliance records.
Your mission
*Design & maintain practical training programmes covering products, machinery & jointing techniques.
*Deliver classroom, workshop & customer-site sessions, adapting content to different levels of technical knowledge & experience.
*Assess practical & theoretical competence, maintaining accurate customer training & certification records.
*Train customers, contractors, end users & distribution partners - supporting technical demonstrations/events.
*Partner with specification & external sales teams to strengthen customer education & promote best-practice installation & product selection.
*Identify employee development needs; manage the training matrix, certification expiries & refresher activity to support compliance & audits.
*Gather delegate feedback, measure effectiveness & continuously improve course content, presentations & digital learning materials.
*Keep pace with legislation & industry standards, maintain training equipment & facilities, & ensure every session is delivered safely.
*Work across office, training workshop, fabrication, and customer-site environments with regular travel throughout the UK and Ireland, with occasional European travel.
The kind of person we’re looking for
*Experience delivering technical training & presenting confidently to groups of different sizes.
*A background in construction, engineering, manufacturing, or other technical products.
*An engaging communicator with strong organisation, attention to detail & customer-first approach.
*Self-motivated, flexible & comfortable working independently while working as a collaborative team player.
*Experience assessing practical competence, issuing certifications, or producing digital learning content would be advantageous.
*Knowledge of piping systems, or experience in water, industrial or utility sectors, would be beneficial.
The Package
*Up to £50k base salary depending on experience.
*Product Stocked Company Van & Fuel Card
*Ongoing training and development opportunities.
*25 days holiday + Bank Holidays.
