Horticulture & Landscaping Operative
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Horticulture & Landscaping Operative to join a busy team maintaining and enhancing Leicester’s parks, green spaces, sports facilities, housing land, and highways areas. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in delivering high-quality environmental and landscaping services.
Key Responsibilities
*Prepare and maintain sports facilities, including artificial surfaces.
*Maintain hard landscaping features, including buildings and associated infrastructure.
*Assist with the development of new hard and soft landscaping projects.
*Operate and maintain specialist hand tools and mechanical landscaping equipment.
*Prepare and apply chemicals, including herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides, in accordance with regulations and safe working practices.
*Keep all work sites clean, safe, and tidy.
*Report defects, hazards, and maintenance issues to the Team Leader.
What We’re Looking For
*Previous experience in horticulture, grounds maintenance, landscaping, or a similar outdoor environment.
*Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
*A positive, professional, and customer-focused approach.
*Strong commitment to health and safety.
*Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
*Willingness to undertake training and gain relevant qualifications.
*Full UK driving licence (preferred).
