Full job descriptionWe are currently recruiting experienced Band 7 Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs) to join a busy clinical service. This is an excellent opportunity for an autonomous practitioner who is confident assessing, diagnosing and managing patients presenting with minor illness and minor injuries.
The RoleAs a Band 7 ANP, you will work autonomously within your scope of practice, providing high-quality assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of patients.
You will need to demonstrate strong clinical decision-making skills and be confident working independently within a fast-paced environment.
Essential Requirements*Registered Nurse with the NMC and extensive relevant clinical experience
*Top to Toe Health Assessment Needs Module
*Minor Illness and Major Injuries Module
*Ability to assess, diagnose, treat and manage patients presenting with minor injuries
*Competent in referring patients for X-ray and interpreting X-ray results
*Suturing and suture/staple removal
*IR(ME)R / Red Dot Training
*General wound care
*Administration of medication via IM and SC injection
*Sepsis Training
*NHS Smartcard holder
*Experience using SystmOne or Rio patient record systems
Desirable Skills*Non-Medical Prescribing (NMP) – with an expectation of working under PGDs
*Phlebotomy / Venepuncture
*Plastering
