Full job descriptionMarket 36 Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business in Stocksbridge who are looking to add an experienced Vehicle Assembly Technician to their growing workshop team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a mechanical background who enjoys hands-on work and is looking for a long-term opportunity with the potential to secure a permanent position.
The Role
As a Vehicle Assembly Technician, you’ll be responsible for assembling and fitting a variety of vehicle components, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard whilst following company procedures and health & safety regulations.
Duties will include:
*Installing mechanical components and fixings to specialist vehicles
*Using a range of hand and power tools to complete assembly work
*Working with steel and aluminium materials
*Reading and following assembly instructions and technical drawings where required
*Carrying out modifications and fitting additional vehicle components
*Performing quality inspections throughout the build process
*Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment
*Supporting other areas of the workshop when required
About You
We’re looking for someone who is practical, mechanically minded and enjoys working with their hands.
You’ll ideally have:
*Previous experience within vehicle assembly, manufacturing or mechanical fitting
*Confidence using a variety of hand and power tools
*Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
*Excellent attention to detail
*Ability to work both independently and within a team
*A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
*Commitment to working safely at all times
Experience within the automotive, coachbuilding, fabrication or engineering sectors would be highly advantageous.
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday
7:00am – 4:00pm or 8:00am – 5:00pm
Friday
7:00am – 1:00pm or 8:00am – 2:00pm
