*Hours: 8am-16:30pm
Join a progressive food manufacturing business striving for operational excellence and food safety leadership. We are seeking a QA Manager to lead our factory Quality Assurance function, ensuring consistent achievement of food safety, quality, compliance, and customer requirements across all manufacturing operations. This role is pivotal in moving our quality culture beyond compliance towards prevention, engagement, accountability, and right-first-time manufacturing.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Lead the QA team, providing visible leadership on the factory floor and driving a food safety culture.
*Develop and maintain operational quality systems, records, checks, and monitoring activities to ensure they are robust, compliant, and effectively executed.
*Coordinate preparation and support for BRCGS, customer, and regulatory audits, ensuring the site remains audit-ready year-round.
*Manage factory non-conformance processes, root cause analysis, and CAPA programmes.
*Oversee hygiene verification, environmental standards, and pest control programmes.
*Work alongside Operations and Engineering teams to ensure quality is designed into daily factory practices rather than inspected afterwards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Minimum 5 years of food manufacturing quality experience.
*Minimum 3 years of people management experience.
*Strong understanding of BRCGS Food Safety Standards and HACCP Level 3 or above.
*Proven ability in internal audit, root cause analysis, and CAPA.
*Strong GMP and food safety knowledge.
*Desirable: Lead Auditor qualification, BRCGS Practitioner qualification, Six Sigma/Lean qualification.
