With significant platform modernisation, cloud adoption and large-scale data initiatives underway, this is an opportunity to join at a pivotal stage and play a key role in shaping the future data landscape.

Working as part of a collaborative technology team, you’ll take ownership of complex data engineering projects, helping to migrate, optimise and modernise critical data platforms while supporting the business’s long-term growth plans. This is a highly visible role offering genuine influence, exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to mentor and develop less experienced team members.

This is a full-time, permanent position based predominantly onsite in Newcastle, working closely with colleagues across technology and the wider business.

Key Responsibilities
*Design, build and optimise data pipelines and ETL processes.
*Lead complex data migration and integration initiatives across multiple platforms.
*Cleanse, transform and improve data quality within enterprise systems.
*Work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
*Support cloud-based data engineering initiatives within an AWS environment.
*Contribute to the development of future AI and automation capabilities by ensuring data is accurate, accessible and fit for purpose.
*Help establish best practice around data governance, architecture and engineering standards.
*Mentor junior team members and support the ongoing development of internal capability.
*Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to deliver business-critical projects.
