Full job descriptionMobile Plant Fitter (Regional)Location: Essex
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 5:00pm
We are recruiting for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join an established engineering team supporting a broad range of plant and machinery.
This is a hands-on position suited to an experienced engineer who can independently diagnose faults, carry out repairs and keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.
The Role*Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
*Carry out routine servicing, inspections and testing.
*Complete planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs.
*Attend customer and operational sites to diagnose and repair equipment.
*Use computerised diagnostic equipment to identify faults.
*Complete accurate service records, job sheets and supporting documentation.
*Manage repairs from initial diagnosis through to completion.
*Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
EquipmentThe role will involve working on a varied range of mobile and site-based equipment, including:
*Excavators
*Dumpers and dump trucks
*Crushers and screeners
*Wheeled loaders
*Skid-steer loaders
*Compaction equipment
*Generators and pumps
*Lifting equipment
*Hydraulic attachments
*Hand tools and associated site equipment
About YouThe successful candidate will have:
*Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Mobile Plant Fitter or similar.
*Strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic fault-finding skills.
*Experience using computerised diagnostic equipment.
*Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
*The ability to complete clear and accurate service documentation.
*Your own tools.
*A full, clean UK driving licence.
Package*£35,000 - £45,000 salary
*Company vehicle available
*Monday-Friday, 7:30am-5:00pm
*21 days holiday + bank holidays
*Company pension
*Predominantly day-based work
*Varied equipment and field-based workload
