Job Description:
Full job descriptionEden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Qualified Social Worker to join the UASC Team for a Local Authority in East Kent.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
*Holding a caseload of Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC)
* Undertaking comprehensive assessments of children and young people
* Developing and implementing effective Care Plans
* Undertaking statutory visits and reviews
* Assessing safeguarding concerns and managing risks appropriately
* Supporting children and young people through the asylum and care process
* Working closely with foster carers, families and accommodation providers
* Liaising and working closely with partner agencies, including education, health, police and immigration services
* Promoting the welfare, safety and positive outcomes of children and young people
* Preparing reports and attending relevant meetings and reviews
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records
* Supporting pathway planning and preparing young people for independence
* Ensuring all statutory duties and relevant legislation are followed
Pay Rate: £38 per hour Umbrella
Location: East Kent
Essential Requirements:
*Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
* At least 3 years’ experience as a social worker within children’s services
* Experience working with UASC / Looked After Children would be highly desirable
* Social Work England Registration
* Driving license and access to own vehicle
