About the roleAre you an experienced Hair Stylist looking for a fresh opportunity in a welcoming, professional salon where creativity, client care and high standards genuinely matter?
This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and passionate Senior Hair Stylist to join an established independent salon in Thame. The salon has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality hair services in a warm, friendly and professional environment.
As a Senior Hair Stylist, you will play an important role in delivering a brilliant client experience from consultation through to finish. You’ll be using your technical skills, creativity and personality to help clients look and feel their best, while building long-term relationships and contributing to a positive salon culture.
Key responsibilities*Deliver high-quality cutting, colouring, styling and finishing services
*Carry out thorough consultations to understand each client’s needs
*Recommend suitable styles, colours, treatments and aftercare advice
*Build strong client relationships and encourage repeat bookings
*Provide helpful advice on retail products and ongoing hair maintenance
*Keep up to date with current trends, techniques and industry developments
*Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, presentation and professionalism
*Contribute to a friendly, supportive and positive team environment
*Support wider salon standards, client experience and retail performance
What we’re looking forWe’re looking for a talented stylist who is passionate about hairdressing, confident with clients and proud of the work they produce. You’ll be reliable, professional and comfortable working as part of a busy salon team.
Essential skills and experience*NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 Hairdressing qualification, or equivalent
*Previous experience working in a professional salon environment
*Strong cutting, colouring, styling and finishing skills
*Excellent consultation and communication skills
*Friendly, professional and reliable approach
*Passion for delivering excellent client care
*Positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team
Desirable experience*An existing client following would be welcomed, but is not essential
*Experience with advanced colouring techniques
*Confidence recommending retail products and treatments
*Interest in training, trends and continued professional development
