Full job descriptionHere at GXO Dagenham, we are currently recruiting for HGV C+E (Class 1) Drivers to join our transport team supporting our customer, Breedon Cement, RM9 6PR. You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, Monday to Friday, minimum of 48 hours per week guaranteed pay, with start times generally between 04:00 to 06:00 with paid breaks!


*£49,192 per annum (based on 50 hours per week)
*£18.92 per hour
*Paid every four weeks – lunar pay
*Paid holiday entitlement – 25 days plus 8 bank holidays
*A Week off at Christmas (3 days from your holiday allocation)

What you’ll do on a typical day:
*Single drop pallet deliveries (typically between 2 and 3 per shift) from our Dagenham depot to retail and trade locations
*Strap down pallets of cement and secure the curtains before heading out on the road
*Maintain clear communication with the transport office regarding any issues and provide exceptional service to our customers
*Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner??????? while ensuring required documents are completed accurately and on time


What you need to succeed at GXO:
*Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential
*Full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement
*Valid Driver Qualification and Digital Tachograph Cards
*No more than 6 current penalty points
