A leading engineering consultancy is looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their Edinburgh team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced geotechnical engineer looking to take on greater technical responsibility across a varied portfolio of infrastructure, commercial and development projects.
The Role*Delivering geotechnical design and assessment across a range of projects.
*Planning and managing ground investigations and interpreting site investigation data.
*Producing geotechnical reports, interpretative reports and technical specifications.
*Undertaking foundation, retaining wall, slope stability and earthworks design.
*Reviewing ground conditions and developing appropriate geotechnical solutions.
*Providing technical input into multidisciplinary projects.
*Liaising with clients, contractors and other consultants.
*Supporting and mentoring junior engineers.
*Assisting with project management, fee proposals and business development.
Requirements*Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geology or a related discipline.
*Significant experience within a UK geotechnical consultancy or contractor environment.
*Strong technical experience across ground investigation and geotechnical design.
*Experience with relevant design software and Eurocodes.
*Good understanding of UK ground conditions and geotechnical practice.
*Chartered or working towards Chartered status with ICE, IOM3 or an equivalent professional body.
*Full UK driving licence.
