About the RoleWe are looking for a confident, reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming secondary school in the Bingham (NG13) area.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and can confidently manage a classroom in the absence of the regular teacher. You will supervise students, deliver pre-set work and help maintain a positive and focused learning environment.
Key Responsibilities*Supervise classes across a range of subjects and year groups.
*Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and activities.
*Maintain positive behaviour and classroom expectations.
*Support students with their learning and encourage participation.
*Take accurate registers and report any concerns to teaching staff.
*Ensure students remain focused and complete assigned work.
*Provide appropriate support to individual students when required.
*Follow school safeguarding, behaviour and health & safety procedures.
Requirements*Previous experience working with secondary-aged students is desirable.
*Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
*Confident communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to work independently and adapt to different classroom environments.
*A professional, reliable and positive approach.
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new DBS.
*Right to work in the UK.
*A degree or relevant education experience is desirable but not essential.
