About the role:
We are seeking a number of dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor/ unqualified teachers to work in secondary schools across Wigan This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to make a positive impact on students’ education while gaining valuable experience in a school environment.
As a cover supervisor you will be responsible for supervising classes when teachers are absent, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining a positive classroom environment. This role is deal for graduates, carer changers or those considering a future in teaching.
Key responsibilities:
*Supervise classes across all key stages (KS3 and 4) in the absence of subject teachers
*Deliver pre-planned lesson materials and ensure students remain on task
*Promote positive behaviour
*Support students with their learning
*Take accurate registers and report concerns to relevant staff
*Assist with general school duties as required
*Adhere to school policies and procedures
Essential requirements:
*Degree or equivalent qualification
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*Ability to engage students aged 11-16
*Confident classroom presence
*Flexible and adaptable
*Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude
*Enhanced DBS or willing to obtain one
