Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + Up to £6,000 Annual Bonus (Paid Monthly)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Warehouse & Logistics to join a successful and growing business within the industrial products sector.
Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will take responsibility for the performance, efficiency and development of warehouse, inventory, distribution and logistics operations. This is a key leadership role focused on supporting business growth, driving operational excellence and developing a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead day-to-day warehouse and logistics operations, including third-party storage facilities.
*Oversee stock control, inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency.
*Drive improvements across processes, systems, productivity and warehouse layout.
*Manage, coach and develop the warehouse team.
*Ensure compliance with all health & safety and regulatory requirements.
*Manage operational budgets, costs and performance.
*Develop and monitor KPIs to improve service, quality and productivity.
*Support ERP and Warehouse Management System (WMS) improvement projects.
*Review logistics and haulage partnerships to maximise performance and value.
*Champion a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
About You
We’re looking for a hands-on warehouse and logistics leader with strong commercial awareness and a passion for operational improvement.
Essential Experience:
*Proven warehouse and distribution management experience.
*FMCG, manufacturing, industrial supply or similar fast-paced environment.
*Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and WMS.
*Experience driving improvements through people, process and systems.
*Team leadership, coaching and performance management experience.
*Budget management and commercial responsibility.
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
*Experience managing teams of 10+ employees.
*ERP systems and Microsoft Office proficiency.
Desirable:
*Degree or equivalent experience.
*Microsoft Business Central experience.
*Advanced Excel skills.
*Transport planning and distribution knowledge.
