We are recruiting Cluster Coordinators to join Surrey’s evolving Team Around the School Support Hub (TASSH) within the Early Intervention, Prevention and Support Service. In this role you will support the delivery of the TASSH cluster model within West Surrey. The role combines hybrid working with regular travel to schools, settings, partner meetings and community locations across West Surrey, together with occasional attendance at Surrey County Council offices as required.

About the Team
The Team Around the School Support Hub (TASSH) sits within Surrey’s Early Intervention, Prevention and Support Service.
We work alongside schools, settings, families and partner agencies to strengthen inclusion, promote early intervention and support children and young people to thrive within their local communities.
Through Surrey’s developing Experts at Hand approach, we are enhancing Surrey’s offer by providing a stronger local presence around schools and settings. This enables timely consultation, coordinated support and earlier intervention when needs emerge.
This increased emphasis on preventative and collaborative working allows us to work alongside education professionals and partners to strengthen capacity, improve inclusive practice and support children and young people at the earliest opportunity.
About the Role
As a TASSH Cluster Coordinator, you will provide both strategic and operational leadership across an allocated cluster, working closely with schools, settings, partner agencies and Surrey services to coordinate support, strengthen local partnerships and drive measurable improvements in outcomes for children and young people. The role requires the ability to build and maintain strong, productive relationships with education providers and stakeholders, supporting inclusive practice, prevention and early intervention activity while ensuring that identified needs are responded to effectively.
You will lead and facilitate multi-disciplinary meetings and discussions with schools and settings, ensuring clear actions, accountability and follow-through. This will involve managing complex and sometimes challenging conversations, navigating differing professional perspectives, providing appropriate support and challenge and exercising sound professional judgement where there may be ambiguity, risk or competing priorities. You will also be expected to respond confidently when decisions, actions, priorities or progress are challenged, providing clear, evidence-informed rationale and maintaining accountability in complex situations.
Alongside school-facing responsibilities, you will play a key leadership role within Surrey’s developing cluster model, contributing to service development, quality assurance, performance monitoring, workforce development, resource deployment, risk management and continuous improvement activity. Using data and intelligence to inform planning and decision-making, you will lead cluster-based planning and reflective problem-solving, support service transformation initiatives and provide leadership, supervision and support to staff within the cluster structure. This includes overseeing deployment, promoting professional development, driving performance improvement and ensuring consistency of practice across the service.
Shortlisting Criteria
In order to be considered for shortlisting, your application will clearly evidence the following skills and align with our behaviours:
*Substantial experience working within education, SEND, early intervention, inclusion, children’s services or a related field, with the ability to operate confidently at both strategic and operational levels.
*Proven experience of partnership working, multi-agency practice and chairing or facilitating meetings that result in clear decisions, agreed actions and accountability.
*Strong relationship-building, communication and influencing skills, including the ability to provide constructive challenge, manage differing perspectives and bring partners together around shared solutions.
