Management Accountant (Temp-to-Perm)Manchester City Centre | Hybrid Working | £50,000 - £55,000

What You’ll Be DoingAs Management Accountant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the financial performance of the business by providing accurate reporting, insightful analysis, and valuable support to stakeholders across the organisation.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Producing monthly management accounts and ensuring reporting deadlines are met.
*Managing accruals, prepayments, journals, and other month-end accounting activities.
*Preparing payroll journals and completing associated reconciliations.
*Delivering meaningful financial analysis and commentary to support informed decision-making.
*Producing Profit & Loss reports, Balance Sheets, and management information packs.
*Supporting the creation of flash reports and key performance reporting.
*Completing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining strong financial controls.
*Identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems, and reporting efficiencies.
*Assisting with year-end procedures, audit preparation, and tax-related activities.
*Working closely with colleagues across Finance and supporting business projects when required.
About YouWe’re looking for someone who enjoys being part of a team, has strong technical accounting knowledge, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.
You’ll ideally have:
*ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification (or be in the final stages of qualifying).
*Experience preparing monthly management accounts.
*A solid understanding of month-end processes and financial reporting.
*Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
*The ability to confidently communicate financial information to a variety of stakeholders.
*Excellent Excel skills and experience working with finance systems.
*A proactive mindset and a passion for improving processes and finding better ways of working.
