Teaching AssistantLocation: West Kirby, Wirral
Pay: £90-£105 per day
Working pattern: Full-Time, Term-Time
Contract: Starting in September 2026
Your new company
Hays is recruiting for a full-time FS2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and nurturing primary school near West Kirby. This friendly school is looking for a dedicated TA who is passionate about supporting children in the Early Years and helping them make a positive start to their education.
Your new role
As an FS2 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support children’s learning and development through play-based activities, focused learning sessions, and daily routines. You will help create an engaging and stimulating learning environment, support children’s social and emotional development, and assist with phonics, early maths, and language development. There may also be opportunities to provide small group or 1:1 support where required.
What you’ll need to succeed
Previous experience working within EYFS or Reception/FS2 is desirable. You will be caring, patient, and enthusiastic, with a strong understanding of how young children learn and develop. Good communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work collaboratively with school staff are essential.
