This is a permanent, 35-hour per week role based in Milton Keynes, with hybrid working. You will be expected to work full-time from the Milton Keynes office for the first 1-2 weeks to support your induction and training, before moving to the standard hybrid working arrangement.
The role
As Senior Conduct Counsel, you will:
*Advise Investigation Officers and Regulatory Case Managers on complaints and regulatory matters.
*Prepare, prosecute and present cases before ICAEW’s Disciplinary and Regulatory Committees.
*Manage your own varied caseload from instruction through to conclusion.
*Provide clear, pragmatic legal advice across the Professional Standards Department.
*Ensure cases progress effectively and within required timescales.
About you
You will have:
*5+ years’ PQE or equivalent experience.
*Strong advocacy experience - essential.
*Experience preparing and presenting cases at hearings.
*Strong legal analysis, judgement and advisory skills.
*The ability to manage complex casework independently.
*Confidence advising and constructively challenging stakeholders..
