Responsive Personnel are looking for a passionate and reliable Cake Maker to join our clients bakery team in Swindon. You will be responsible for preparing, baking, decorating and finishing a range of cakes and baked goods to a consistently high standard.
This is a day-shift position, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy bakery environment and takes pride in producing quality products.
(Please note you will need to do a weeks training on nights at a higher pay rate)


Key Responsibilities
*Prepare cake mixtures, fillings, creams and toppings according to recipes and production requirements.
*Bake cakes and other products to the required quality and consistency.
*Decorate and finish cakes neatly and creatively.
*Follow recipes, portion sizes and presentation standards.
*Check ingredients and ensure products are fresh and of a high quality.
*Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic work area.
*Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures.
*Work efficiently to meet daily production targets.
*Assist with packing, labelling and preparing products for delivery or sale.
*Work as part of a friendly bakery team and support other duties when required.


About You

*Have previous experience in cake making, baking or a kitchen.
*Have good attention to detail and take pride in their work.
*Be reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team.
*Have a good understanding of food hygiene and safe working practices.
*Be able to work at a steady pace in a busy production environment.
*Have a passion for baking and producing high-quality cakes.
*Be willing to learn and develop new skills.
