Salary: £50,000 - £55,000
Working Pattern: Hybrid working available (3 days in the office, 2 from home)
Robert Half is delighted to be partnering with a highly successful and growing business in Harrogate to recruit a qualified Management Accountant.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with an impressive track record of success and exciting growth plans through to 2027. The company is looking for an ambitious and commercially minded finance professional who can play a key role in supporting financial reporting, improving processes, and providing valuable insight to aid decision-making across the business.
The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) with strong management accounting experience and the confidence to work closely with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:*Preparing accurate and timely monthly management accounts
*Leading the month-end close process
*Posting and reviewing journals, accruals and prepayments
*Completing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining strong financial controls
*Producing detailed variance analysis with meaningful commentary
*Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning
*Preparing and analysing KPI reports to support business performance
*Business partnering with budget holders and operational stakeholders
*Assisting with year-end accounts and audit preparation
*Supporting continuous improvement across finance processes and reporting
*Providing financial insight and recommendations to support strategic decision-making
*Mentoring junior members of the finance team where required
About you:*Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA)
*Proven experience in a Management Accountant role or similar
*Strong technical accounting knowledge and management reporting experience
*Commercially aware, proactive and confident working with stakeholders across the business
*Strong Excel skills and experience working with finance systems
*Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
