Full job descriptionCNC TurnerShillito Group is recruiting an experiencedCNC Turner for permanent day shift positions within a precision engineering environment.
This would suit people who are confident working from engineering drawings, operating turning machinery, and producing components to the required quality standards.
The roleYou’ll be responsible for:
*Operating CNC and manual turning machines.
*Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
*Creating, editing and interpreting CNC programmes.
*Selecting appropriate tooling and machining conditions.
*Using measuring equipment to inspect finished components.
*Recording dimensions and completing production documentation.
*Carrying out basic machine maintenance.
*Supporting other members of the team when required.
*Contributing to 5S and continuous improvement activities.
Pay & shift*Day shift
*£19.44 per hour, rising to £20 per hour.
What we’re looking forYou’ll need solid CNC turning experience and a good understanding of machining processes.
You should be comfortable working independently, maintaining quality standards and keeping production moving without cutting corners.
Reliability, attention to detail and the ability to work well with others are important. The role profile also places emphasis on quality, productivity, teamwork, adaptability and continuous improvement.
