Full job descriptionThe OpportunityWe are working with a well-established and growing accountancy practice that is looking to appoint an experienced Tax Seniorto join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated tax professional looking to develop their career within a supportive practice environment, with exposure to a varied portfolio of clients and the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility.
The successful candidate will have previous experience within an accountancy practice and be confident managing a range of personal and business tax matters.
Key Responsibilities*Managing a portfolio of personal and business tax clients.
*Preparing and reviewing Self-Assessment and Corporation Tax returns.
*Preparing tax computations and supporting schedules.
*Providing clients with practical tax advice and identifying tax planning opportunities.
*Assisting with year-end accounts and tax-related queries where required.
*Managing client deadlines and ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently.
*Dealing directly with HMRC on behalf of clients.
*Building strong, long-term relationships with clients.
*Supporting junior members of the team and reviewing work where appropriate.
*Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation and ensuring compliance with relevant requirements.
About YouThe ideal candidate will have:
*CTA or ATT qualification is essential
*Previous tax experience within an accountancy practice.
*Strong knowledge of UK personal and/or corporate taxation.
*Experience preparing Self-Assessment and Corporation Tax returns.
*Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
*Good communication and client relationship skills.
*The ability to manage a varied workload and work to deadlines.
*Strong IT skills and experience using accountancy/tax software.
*A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of your work.
