Join our team as an Interim Process Development Technologist, where you will be instrumental in taking products from concept approval through to factory launch, adhering to the agreed critical path. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in chilled manufacturing, particularly within high care or high-risk environments.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Transfer products from kitchen to factory, managing factory trials and processes for the successful launch of new products.
*Order new raw materials for trials and agree on new raw material specifications.
*Generate process paperwork from low-risk cook methodology to high care assembly procedures.
*Create Photographic Standards and prepare trial samples as required.
*Generate product Quality Attribute Specifications (QAS).
*Communicate with the QA/Production team to ensure a smooth handover/transition from factory trial to product launch.
*Arrange and attend product HACCP meetings.
*Ensure approved products are tested for shelf life (micro and organoleptic), nutrition, and cooking guidelines, adhering strictly to customer protocols.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Experience within Manufacturing ideally within a High Care and/or High-Risk environment.
*Proven ability in a similar role or demonstrable experience in a cross-functional manufacturing role.
*Ideally HND or Degree level qualification in a food or microbiological related discipline, or relevant experience (ideally 3 years).
*Competence in recipe, nutrition, and yield calculations.
*Excellent organisational and communication skills.
*Proactive, constantly looking for new and better ways to perform duties.
*Professional and timely performance as a representative of the company.
