Full job description1:1 Supply Teaching Assistant - Flexible Work in Plymouth
Are you an empathetic, adaptable educator looking for a role that balances high classroom impact with ultimate personal flexibility? We are seeking dedicated 1:1 Supply Teaching Assistants to support primary and secondary schools across Plymouth and the surrounding areas. Make a genuine difference in children’s academic and emotional journeys-with zero planning or marking required.
Key Responsibilities
*Deliver tailored 1:1 academic, social, and emotional support throughout the school day.
*Adapt learning materials to suit individual student needs and learning styles.
*Create a safe, inclusive space that fosters confidence and personal growth.
*Partner with teachers to put Individual Education Plans (IEPs) into practice.
*Guide pupils through emotional regulation and social skills development.
Requirements
*Experience in a UK school, special educational needs (SEN), or care-based environment.
*Proven track record supporting children or young people on a 1:1 basis.
*GCSE Grade C/4 (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
*A patient, resilient, and proactive mindset.
*Right to Work in the UK and an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
Benefits
*Competitive Pay: £92.56 - £95.00 per day (paid weekly).
*Great Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday-Friday (term time only).
