Chalk Hill Group are supporting an established distribution business, based near Gatwick, who are looking to appoint an experienced Fractional Finance Director on an initial 3–6 month contract.
This is a hands-on finance leadership role, ideal for an experienced FD or strong FC who enjoys being close to the detail and making a tangible impact.
Working around two days per week, you will take responsibility for a range of core finance activities, including:
*Financial reporting and management information
*Strengthening financial controls and processes
*Cash flow forecasting and management
*Identifying and implementing process improvements
*Supporting the wider finance function and improving efficiencies
*Mentoring and developing a more junior member of the finance team
*Providing hands-on financial leadership and support to the business
We are looking for someone who is:
*An experienced Finance Director, Financial Controller or similar
*Comfortable operating in a hands-on, SME environment
*Experience in Distribution or Logistics sector
*Strong technically, with solid reporting, controls and cash flow experience
*Practical and solutions-focused, with a track record of improving processes
*Confident mentoring and supporting junior finance staff
*Available to work around 2 days per week onsite near Gatwick
This role is inside IR35.
