The Opportunity
We are working with a specialist Control & Instrumentation business based in Bury St Edmunds, providing instrumentation, calibration, commissioning and process engineering solutions to customers across a range of process industries.
They are looking for a C&I Technician to join their team. This is a hands-on role involving the installation, commissioning, servicing, calibration and fault finding of a range of electronic and mechanical process control instrumentation.
Key Responsibilities
*Install, commission and service process instrumentation.
*Calibrate a range of electronic and mechanical instrumentation.
*Carry out fault finding and diagnostics on instrumentation and control systems.
*Test and repair instrumentation where required.
*Work from technical drawings, schematics and instrumentation documentation.
*Carry out onsite commissioning and calibration activities.
*Complete testing and validation of instrumentation.
*Support FAT and SAT activities where required.
*Work safely and professionally across customer sites.
*Complete service, calibration and technical documentation.
Essential Skills & Experience
*Previous experience within Instrumentation, Controls or C&I.
*Practical experience with process instrumentation.
*Experience installing, commissioning, servicing or calibrating instrumentation.
*Ability to fault find and diagnose instrumentation issues.
*Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics.
*Good mechanical and electrical understanding.
*Comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
*Willingness to travel to customer sites when required.
